Vývoj ceny a spotřeby cukru v České republice
Development of Prices and Sugar Consumption in Czech Republic
The paper provides a description of development of prices and consumption of sugar in the Czech Republic. The analysis focuses on the impact of average
inflation rate and reduced rate of VAT on the given parameters. Price and consumption of sugar depend on the development of a number of variables.
No significant dependence was detected either with regard to the inflation rate or to the reduced rate of VAT. Strong negative correlation between
reduced tax rate and sugar consumption was confirmed among the examined
variables.

Příspěvek se zabývá deskripcí vývoje cen a spotřeby cukru v České republice. Analýza se zaměřuje na vliv průměrné míry inflace a snížené sazby daně
z přidané hodnoty na jeho cenu a spotřebu. Cena i spotřeba cukru je závislá na vývoji celé řady proměnných. Vzhledem k míře inflace ani ke snížené
sazbě daně nebyla zjištěna významnější závislost. U zkoumaných veličin byla potvrzena silná negativní korelace mezi sníženou sazbou daně a spotřebou cukru.
