Vývoj systému společné organizace trhu s cukrem v EU od roku 1968 po současnost Development of the Common Market Organization for Sugar since 1968 to Present Days
This paper analyses the key historical milestones of the common market organization for sugar, particularly the year
1968 – establishment of the system; the year 1975 – Lomé Convention; the year 1995 – establishment of the WTO, 2002 – the dispute
against EU sugar policies brought by Brazil, Australia and Thailand and the year 2005 – official approval of the EU sugar
reform. The text also deals with the reform steps and discusses possible impacts of the new CAP in the field of sugar
and sugar beet.

Příspěvek poukazuje na hlavní milníky ve vývoji společné organizace trhu s cukrem, za které lze považovat rok 1968 – vznik
systému, rok 1975 – podepsání dohody z Lomé, rok 1995 – vznik WTO, rok 2002 – spor mezi EU a třemi dalšími členy WTO (Brazílií,
Austrálií a Thajskem) ohledně systému subvencování vývozu cukru z EU a rok 2005 – schválení reformy cukerního pořádku v EU.
Text se zároveň zabývá analýzou reformních kroků a diskutuje možné dopady nové SZP v odvětví cukru a cukrovky.
