Prameny obrazové povahy k dějinám cukrovarnictví ve sbírkách Národního technického muzea Sources of Pictorial Nature Related to the History of the Sugar Industry in the Collections
of the National Technical Museum
In the Archives of the National Technical Museum (NTM) in Prague and of the Museum of Architecture and Civil Engineering
of the NTM is deposited an array of iconic sources, outlining historical development of the sugar industry. Among the most
important rank technical drawings, photographs, stocks and shares, and architectural drawings. The paper illustrates, through
several examples, the possibilities of utilization of such sources in studying the industrial field mentioned. Thanks to those
sources, we get to know the former technology and production methods, gradual progress in constructing various components
of machinery, sugar symbolism, as well as possible contacts between the sugar makers and architects.
V Archivu NTM a v Muzeu architektury a stavitelství NTM je uložena řada obrazových pramenů, které přibližují historický vývoj
cukrovarnictví. Mezi nejvýznamnější patří technické výkresy, fotografie, cenné papíry a architektonické výkresy. Na příkladu několika
ukázek článek naznačuje možnosti jejich využití při studiu dějin zmíněného průmyslového oboru. Poznáváme díky nim tehdejší stav
techniky a způsoby výroby, postupný vývoj v konstrukci jednotlivých strojních zařízení, cukrovarnickou symboliku či možné kontakty
mezi cukrovarníky a architekty.
