História výroby cukru v Seredi History of sugar manufacturing in Sereď
Sugar production in the city of Sereď started in year 1844. In this year, there has been built the first sugar factory
in the city. It was functioning until year 1856. The modern history starts to write in year 1907. It was the manufacturers
of sugar beet, who decided to build the sugar factory. They were unhappy with the price they had to pay for the sugar beet
in the sugar factories Sládkovičovo and Trnava. Later they sold their shares and the sugar factory started to function
as stock company. The organization form and also the owners of the sugar factory were changing. Until year 1989, the sugar
factory changed organizationally to a Shareholding Company, national enterprise, plant, concern, state enterprise and again
to Shareholding Company. After the privatization and transformation the sugar factory became a limited liability company.
Besides ownership changes, it is important to mention also the significant technical progress. The sugar factory went through
a number of changes that markedly improved the production and competition position of the sugar factory.
Výroba cukru v meste Sereď sa začala v roku 1844. V tomto roku bol v meste postavený prvý cukrovar. Pracoval do roku 1856.
Novodobá história sa začína písať v roku 1907. Cukrovar sa rozhodli vybudovať veľkovýrobcovia repy. Neboli spokojní cenou,
ktorú im platili za repu v cukrovaroch Sládkovičovo a Trnava. Svoje podiely neskôr predali a cukrovar začal fungovať ako účastinná
spoločnosť. Organizačná forma aj vlastníci cukrovaru sa menili. Do roku 1989 sa cukrovar organizačne menil na akciovú spoločnosť,
národný podnik, závod, koncernový podnik, štátny podnik a znovu na akciovú spoločnosť. Po privatizácii a transformácii sa z cukrovaru
stala spoločnosť s ručením obmedzeným. Okrem vlastníckych zmien je dôležité zaznamenať významný technický pokrok. Cukrovar prešiel
množstvom zmien, ktoré výrazne zlepšili produkčnú a konkurenčnú pozíciu cukrovaru.
