The contribution was composed with the purpose of clarifying Mexico’s current position in the world sugar production. It has been
shown that despite several growing indicators and various measures taken by the Mexican government, the local sugar industry still
suffers from a number of problems that usually have historical roots and might significantly slow down the future growth of the industry.
Příspěvek si klade za cíl objasnit současné postavení Mexika ve světové produkci cukru. Ukazuje, že navzdory několika rostoucím
ukazatelům a různým opatřením vlády trpí mexický cukrovarnický průmysl nadále řadou problémů, které mají většinou historické kořeny.
